About Our Founder
Manjunath CN, a graduate from Siddaganga School of Architecture (SSA), Tumkur, Karnataka, began his remarkable journey in architecture with a UNESCO-sponsored project in Hampi immediately after his internship. His professional career took off while working with Edgar DeMello, and in 2012, he founded SWS.
SWS, a young multidisciplinary design studio based in Bangalore, is led by Ar. Manjunath C.N and supported by a dedicated team of architects and engineers.
Academic Contributions
- Visiting faculty at SPA (School of Planning and Architecture), Vijayawada
- Current faculty at SSA (Siddaganga School of Architecture)
- Member of the selection committee at Anna University, Architecture Department, Chennai
- Regular jury member for architectural reviews at prestigious institutions including SSA, DSCE, and BMSCE
- Recipient of the Best Guide Award (Yuvaratna) for two consecutive years (2014 and 2015)
His work has gained widespread recognition and has been featured in renowned magazines such as Inside Outside and Design Detail. Notable achievements include being named one of the top 50 promising architects of 2020 and receiving the Young Architect award by IA&B. He has also shared his insights on design through media appearances, including a radio interview "Square Foot" for casual conversation about design.
